Group Strategy Director at Pride in London

Asad Shaykh has a diverse range of work experience in strategy and marketing roles. Asad started their career as an Indie Brand Planner and Social Media Consultant as a freelance professional in 2011. Asad then worked as a Planner at Founded, where they helped set up the agency and worked on various projects including global social CRM strategies and direct mail campaigns. In 2015, they became a Planner at Table19, followed by a role as a Freelance Planner and Brand Strategist, where they developed brands and created strategic arguments with visual design capabilities.

Starting from 2016, Asad worked as the Head of Strategy at Kameleon, leading content creation for clients such as Coke, Dreams, and Vodafone. Asad also established a successful planning department at Kameleon and built data bridges between planning and creative within the Be Heard Group.

In 2019, Asad held multiple roles simultaneously. Asad worked as an Associate at The Hoxby Collective, providing specialist teams for client work in various industries. Asad was also a Strategic Consultant at The Unmistakables, and they became self-employed as a Head of Strategy. In this role, they worked with brands like Coca-Cola, Vodafone, and UNIQLO, creating branded communications and developing IoT strategies for clients.

Asad joined Pride in London in 2019 as a Creative Strategist and later became the Head of Brand. Asad'sresponsibilities included devising creative strategies for campaigns, setting the brand roadmap, and planning for the 50th anniversary of Pride in London.

In 2020, Asad also took on the role of Director of Marketing and Communications (v) at Pride in London, where they focused on brand development and evolution, and set an aim for the organization's future.

Most recently, in 2022, Asad joined Grey London as the Joint Head and later the Head of Strategy, leading the strategic initiatives for the company.

Asad Shaykh holds a Bachelor's degree in Business & Computer Sciences from Western Michigan University - Haworth College of Business, which they earned from 1998 to 2003. In 2005, they also completed an MBA in Marketing - Brand Management from the University of London. Additionally, they obtained a Master's degree in Advertising & Planning from Buckinghamshire New University in 2010.
