John Ducey-Miet

John Ducey-MIET has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. John started their career as an Electrician at Suir Engineering in 2003, where they worked on various installations and projects. In 2008, they joined Dornan Engineering Ltd. as an Electrician, taking on responsibilities such as managing teams, carrying out quality control, and liaising with clients. John later became a Senior Commissioning Manager, overseeing project commissioning processes and delivering operational M&E Systems. In 2019, John joined Bureau Veritas Primary Integration as a Senior Commissioning Engineer, and later became a Project Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Project Management for EMEA & APAC.

John Ducey-MIET has a diverse education history in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In 2006, they obtained an Electrical Certificate from the Waterford Institute of Technology, where they studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

John then pursued further education in high voltage systems and obtained an S4 Fundamentals of the Safe Operation and Switching Of High Voltage Power Systems certification from The Faraday Centre in 2014.

In 2013, John completed certifications in Initial Verification & Certification Of Electrical Installations (2394) and Periodic Testing, Inspection and Certification Of Electrical Installations (2395) from City & Guilds.

John also obtained a Level 3 2382-17 17th Edition Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations from City & Guilds in 2011.

Before their specialized certifications, John completed their Leaving Certificate from St. Augustine's College in 2003.

Continuing their education, they earned a Level 4 BTEC Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from NARIC in 2016.

In 2017, they acquired a Level 6 BTEC Extended Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, also from NARIC.

Finally, in 2019, John obtained a Level 3 2382-18 18th Edition Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations from City & Guilds, further enhancing their expertise in electrical installations.

To complement their education, John Ducey-MIET earned the Qualified Supervisor certification from NICEIC in January 2015.
