Deenadayalan Sekar has extensive work experience in the field of medical records and informatics. Deenadayalan started their career as a Medical Records Trainee at Sundaram Medical Foundation in 1999 and later worked as an Executive in the Medical Records department at Apollo Hospitals, Bilaspur. Deenadayalan then joined Bombay Hospital Indore as a Medical Records Officer before moving on to Ruby Hall Clinic as a Medical Records Officer as well.

In 2006, Deenadayalan became the Manager of the Medical Records department at Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital. Deenadayalan then worked as a Senior Consultant and Domain Expert at Invest2care Technologies Private Limited for a year.

In 2011, Deenadayalan held multiple roles simultaneously. Deenadayalan became the Group Manager of Medical Records at Apollo Hospitals and also served as the Treasurer of the Health Records Association of India.

In 2014, Deenadayalan joined Prime Healthcare Group LLC, where they held the positions of Head of Medical Records, responsible for implementing Integrated Electronic Medical Records across the group, and Head of Medical Informatics, overseeing data analysis and compliance tracking of medical professionals.

Throughout their career, Deenadayalan has contributed to the digitization and improvement of medical records systems, ensuring efficient and accurate access to patient information.

Deenadayalan Sekar has a diverse education history. In 1998, they obtained a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) degree from the University of Madras. In 2001, they pursued a Diploma in Medical Records Science & Technology from Sundaram Medical Foundation. Deenadayalan furthered their education in 2004 by completing a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree from Allahabad Agricultural Institute. In 2005, they obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Hospital Management from Annamalai University. In 2009, Deenadayalan pursued a Certificate Course in Patient Confidentiality from Joint Commission International. Later in 2011, they achieved a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Medical Records Management from Vinayaka Mission's Research Foundation - University. In terms of additional certifications, Deenadayalan obtained certifications in health informatics, including "The Outcomes and Interventions of Health Informatics," "Leading Change in Health Informatics," "The Social and Technical Context of Health Informatics" from The Johns Hopkins University. Additionally, in December 2020, they obtained a Certificate of Associate Membership from the International Federation of Health Information Management Association.
