Byron Welch

Byron Welch serves as the Manager of Business Analytics for California Medicaid at Prime Therapeutics since December 2022, following the acquisition of Magellan Health Care. From May 2017 to December 2022, Byron held the position of Lead Business Intelligence Specialist at Magellan Health, overseeing enhancement requests and contributing to the development of a Dimensional reporting model. Byron previously worked as a Business Intelligence Manager, managing the California Medicaid group, and served as an Advisory Software Engineer at IBM from 2012 to 2017. Byron’s extensive background includes roles at FM Global, American Power Conversion, and the Division of Health Care Finance Policy, focusing on data architecture, reporting systems, and business intelligence solutions. Byron holds a BA in Sociology from Washington College.
