James Richardson

James Richardson has extensive work experience in information security and risk management. James is currently the Chief Information Security Officer at PrimeRevenue since April 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Information Risk at Windstream from May 2016 to March 2021. James also worked as a Senior Manager of IT Risk & Compliance at EarthLink from May 2016 to June 2017.

Before joining Windstream and EarthLink, James held various roles at Cox Automotive Inc., including Manager of Enterprise Risk & Security from July 2015 to May 2016 and Senior Security Engineer from September 2014 to July 2015. James also served as the Director of Global Security Compliance at Equifax from June 2013 to September 2014.

James has a strong background in IT and security, with previous experience at Bank of America as a VP and Senior Consultant Business Technology Analyst from January 2013 to June 2013, VP and Process Design Consultant from January 2011 to January 2013, and VP and Systems Engineer from October 2003 to January 2011.

Their career began at Colonial Pipeline Company as a Unix Engineer, where they provided support and administration for various HP Unix servers from October 1999 to October 2003. Prior to that, James served in the United States Navy as a Petty Officer 2nd Class (RM2) from October 1995 to October 2000, with responsibilities including network management and administration.

Throughout their career, James Richardson has demonstrated their expertise in information security and risk management through various leadership roles at reputable companies.

James Richardson attended the University of Arkansas Grantham from 2007 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. In addition to their degree, James obtained several certifications: PCIP from the PCI Security Standards Council in June 2014, PCI ISA from the PCI Security Standards Council in March 2014, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in February 2014.
