Nick Kates

Nick Kates serves as Chief Financial Officer of Primeritus Financial Services. He has more than 25 years of experience in finance, accounting, mergers & acquisitions, IT, and startup development across a number of industries, including high tech chemical materials, electronics, regulated utilities, and food additives.

Prior to joining UPPCO, Nick held the position of Chief Financial Officer of the Upper Peninsula Power Company, a state regulated public utility and DSM Functional Materials, an independent business unit of a publicly traded Dutch multi-national. In addition, Nick has held senior finance and M&A roles in both private equity sponsored and public organizations.

Nick received both his B.S. in Accounting and his MBA in Finance from Millikin University in Illinois.
