Melody McNay

Melody McNay is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in molecular biology and laboratory management. Currently serving as a Scientist at Primrose Bio since September 2023, Melody previously worked as a Staff Scientist at Primordial Genetics and held various positions at Weston Solutions, including Molecular Biology Laboratory Manager and Senior Project Scientist, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing client projects, lab operations, and assay development. Earlier roles include research positions at GenMark Diagnostics and Synthetic Genomics, contributing to assay integration and microbial genomics. With a foundational background in laboratory protocols and quality control from earlier positions at NOAA, MO BIO Laboratories, and Isis Pharmaceuticals, Melody McNay possesses a robust skill set in molecular techniques, project management, and scientific research. Melody earned a BS in Biochemistry from UC San Diego and holds multiple certificates in Biotechnology and Bioprocess Technology from MiraCosta College.
