Senior Mooring & Cables Engineer at Principle Power

José Pedro Tiago has extensive experience in the engineering field, with a focus on flexible pipes design. José Pedro started their career in 2009 as a Mechanical Engineer at Bloco Telha - Grupo Meneses and Carldora, specializing in formwork, scaffolding, shoring, and trenching planking. In 2012, José joined Technip as a Flexible Pipes Design Engineer in the Brazil Team, where they worked until 2016. José Pedro then returned to TechnipFMC in 2017, initially as a Flexible Pipes Design Engineer and later as a Flexible Pipes Design Lead in both the Brazil and France Teams. Most recently, José joined Principle Power in 2022 as a Senior Mooring & Cables Engineer. Throughout their career, José has consistently demonstrated their expertise in designing and managing flexible pipes projects.

José Pedro Tiago obtained their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic of Leiria, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Management and Industrial Strategy at ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics & Management, completing their studies from 2018 to 2020.

In addition to their formal education, José Pedro Tiago obtained several certifications. In 2010, they completed the "AutoCAD - Introduction to 2D CAD" course at the CENFIM - Marinha Grande - Authorized Training Center. In 2012, they obtained the "ANSYS - Introduction to ANSYS Mechanical" and "ANSYS Non-linear" certifications from Ansys Iberia. José Pedro also completed various courses related to Autodesk Inventor, including "Autodesk Inventor - Essential," "Autodesk Inventor - Sheet Metal/Visualization," and "AutoCAD - 2D Essential" from Lusocuanza - DGERT, all in 2012.
