Mooring and Cable Engineer at Principle Power

Moustafa Ibrahim has a diverse work experience that includes roles in various industries. Moustafa started their career as a Trainee at Petromaint in 2015, followed by Trainee positions at Al Ezz Dekheila Steel Co. EZDK and Mantrac Egypt in 2016. In 2017, they worked as a Volunteer with AIESEC Egypt, where they interviewed international volunteers and promoted AIESEC projects. Moustafa also served as a Research Assistant, working on the design concepts and economic feasibility of solar water heaters. In 2018, they interned at the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, where they worked on designing and simulating a solar-powered adsorption chiller. Their most recent role was as an Engineering Intern at Principle Power, where they focused on investigating deep-water inter-array cable solutions for floating wind platforms. Currently, they are working as a Mooring and Cable Engineer at Principle Power.

Moustafa Ibrahim has a diverse education history focused on offshore renewable energy. Starting in 2013, they attended Alexandria University, where they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2018. Following their undergraduate studies, Moustafa pursued further education in the field. In 2018-2019, they attended the University of Strathclyde, where they earned a Master's degree in Offshore Renewable Energy. Additionally, in 2019, they pursued a Master's degree in the same field at both Ecole centrale de Nantes and Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, although the end year for the latter is not provided.

Moustafa has also acquired additional certifications to supplement their education. In 2017, they obtained the certifications in "Wind Energy" and "Certified SOLIDWORKS Professional (CSWP)" from Coursera and Dassault Systèmes, respectively. In 2018, they further enhanced their knowledge by completing a certification in "Wind resources for renewable energies" from Coursera.
