Tony Perkins

Tony Perkins has extensive work experience in providing legal and business development advisory services for early stage and growth companies. Tony has served as the IP/Tech Practice Leader and a member of the Business Law Group and Cannabis Law Group at Bernstein, Shur, Sawyer & Nelson since 1985. In this role, they have been involved in various areas such as product/IP development, licensing and commercialization, equity and funding, IT transactions, data security and privacy matters, and business entity formations. Additionally, Tony assists owners of mature companies in preparing for and completing strategic exits, sales, and mergers.

In 2020, Tony Perkins co-founded ProCanna USA, further expanding their involvement in the cannabis industry. Additionally, they serve as an Advisory Board Member at Readiness Associates since 2021. Overall, Tony Perkins has a strong background in providing legal and business advice to companies in the cannabis industry as well as software, IT services, and other advanced technologies and IP-based products.

Tony Perkins attended Colby College from 1978 to 1982, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude in Government with Distinction. Following their undergraduate studies, from 1982 to 1985, they attended the University of Maine School of Law, where they obtained a Juris Doctor degree cum laude.
