Jeff Bruck has over 24 years of work experience in the GIS field. Jeff began their career in 1997 at Rand McNally as a GIS Advanced Technical Development Specialist, where they provided GIS and software technical support for domestic and international GIS staff, designed, created and tested programs to automate GIS tasks, created Rand McNally Road Atlas and Thomas Brothers Street Guide retail map products, and teamed with IT staff and database administrators to install and update software and hardware.
In 2010, they began a contract position as a GIS Analyst at Digital Map Products, where they utilized ArcGIS and proprietary GIS tools to populate large scale database from various data sources and formats, assisted with importation, modification, parsing and conversion of GIS data into standardized GIS database stored in Microsoft SQL environment, and utilized ArcGIS to geoprocess, edit and analyze data for ad hoc projects and workflows as needed.
In 2011, they worked as a GIS Data Analyst at Airborne Interactive Ltd., where they created and maintained SQL and GIS data deployed on commercial airline mapping product, was responsible for custom map software configuration and data quality assurance, and provided technical support to end users and business clients. Jeff also held a contract position as a GIS data management specialist at Burns & McDonnell, where they were responsible for management and support of GIS data utilized for large scale, multiyear electric utility construction project, provided GIS and software technical support to internal staff, external staff, contractors and clients, and created maps in various sizes and formats utilized by construction crews, planners, environmental staff, engineers, management, marketing staff and planners.
In 2012, they began working as a Mapping Specialist / Property Inspector at TitleInspections.com, where they inspected, measured and recorded various real property parcel boundaries, easements and building footprints, utilized ArcGIS to create maps of property boundaries, easements, property assets and structure footprints, and reconciled county cadastral maps against data collected in the field.
From 2013 to 2021, they worked at LightBox as a Senior Customer Success Manager - Content Solutions, where they served as the customer success manager and primary technical contact for large scale geospatial data product, acted as a trusted adviser for a large portfolio of enterprise-level clients subscribing to company data and SAAS products, and engaged in comprehensive client life cycle including sales engineering, on-boarding, technical support, training and retention. Jeff also held the role of GIS Database Analyst, where they created, maintained and utilized ETL workflows to load data from various sources into enterprise GIS database utilized by multiple company verticals, created and modified scripts using Python and Microsoft SQL, and coordinated with database administrators to assist with user access, user permissions, database format and content.
Currently, Jeff Bruck is working at Process Street as a Senior Solutions Consultant and Sales Engineer, where they help the sales team convey the power of Process Street via the creation and demonstration of customized versions of their software.
Jeff Bruck received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Geography from San Diego State University and a GIS Certificate in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from the same institution.
