Genesis Magat

Genesis Magat has extensive work experience in various roles within the data engineering and business intelligence fields. In 2010, Genesis began their career as an Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Officer in the Canadian Armed Forces. They then transitioned to a Pipeline Engineer Consultant role at Solaris Management Consultants from 2012 to 2014. Following this, Genesis worked as a Principal at Bander Ltd. in 2014. From 2015 to 2020, Genesis served as a Business Intelligence Engineer at The University of British Columbia. They then joined KalTire in 2020 as a Data Engineer before becoming a Data Engineer Consultant at ProCogia in 2022.

Genesis Magat attended the University of Alberta from 2004 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Mechanical Engineering. In addition to their degree, Genesis Magat obtained two additional certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate from Microsoft in September 2022, and SnowPro Core Certification from Snowflake in November 2022.
