Julio Barrios

Julio Barrios has been working in software engineering since 2008. In 2010, they joined Siderys Elite Software as a Full Stack Engineer, using SharePoint, ASP.Net, WPF, MSSQL, Knockout, jQuery, Handlebars, and Team Foundation and SVN versioning control systems. In 2013, they were a Software Engineer at Ahead of the Curve Media, working with PHP, MySql, ColdFusion, Expression Engine, ASP.Net, AngularJS, Handlebars, and Git. In 2014, they were a Developer and Director at NuuK Software. In 2015, they were a Full Stack Engineer at Blue Trail Software, working with EmberJS on the frontend, .NET at the backend, and MSSQL as the DB engine. In 2016, they were a Full Stack Engineer at Ingenious, helping to develop and maintain a HIPAA compliant SAAS solution for US fertility clinics, using EmberJS in the frontend and Ruby on Rails in the backend. Julio also worked on several integrations with Contentful CMS, AWS, Azalea payment platform, and Tomorrow cryo robots. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at ProDeal, working as a contractor in the engineering team to develop and maintain a Secure Deal Closing platform. Julio works with a remote global team using Agile methodologies, and React in the frontend and Elixir and Phoenix in the backend. The project has integrations with AWS Cloud (S3, Cognito, EC2, KMS, deploy pipelines).

Julio Barrios has a background in Computer Science. Julio obtained a System Analyst degree from BIOS in 2004-2007. In 2008, they received a Graphics Design with Adobe Fireworks degree from Universidad ORT Uruguay, as well as an Animations with Flash and Action Script degree from the same institution. Julio also holds four certifications from Microsoft, including a Microsoft Certified Professional (2012), a TS: Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5, ASP.NET Application Development (MCTS) (2011), a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: .NET Framework 3.5, Windows Presentation Fnd Applications (MCTS) (2010), and a TS: Microsoft .NET Framework - Application Development Foundation (2010).
