Liza Plotnikova has more than a decade of experience in design and user experience roles. Their most recent position was at ProductPlan, where they worked as a Principal Product Designer and then as a Senior Product Designer. Prior to that, Liza was a Sr. Product Designer at an undisclosed company. Liza also served as a Sr. UX/UI Designer at UpHabit and as a UX Designer at Toggl, where they traveled while designing and managing projects for a global remote SaaS company. Liza's earlier experience includes being a UX Designer at MINDBODY, Inc., where they led the design of various web and mobile features, and a Graphic Designer at Verdin. Liza began their career as a UX/UI Designer at GoodBehaviorTools, where they designed and illustrated an Android teaching app for children with Autism.

Liza Plotnikova pursued their higher education by first attending the University of Toronto from 2004 to 2007. During this time, they focused on studying chemistry, although no specific degree was mentioned. Subsequently, from 2009 to 2011, Liza enrolled at the California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Art and Design, with a specialization in Graphic Design. Additionally, Liza obtained certification in UX Intensive from Adaptive Path in December 2014.
