Doug Abernathy

Doug Abernathy has significant work experience in the field of engineering, particularly in geotechnical and environmental engineering. Doug started their career in 1987 at Golder Associates, where they worked as a Geotechnical/Environmental Engineer for six years. From 1993 to 1999, they served as a Geotechnical Engineer at STS Consultants. In 2000, they worked briefly at Leighton and Associates as a Geotechnical Engineer before joining Bing Yen & Associates as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer later that year. In 2001, they joined Albus-Keefe & Associates as a Senior Project Engineer, a role they held until 2009. Doug then joined American Geotechnical, Inc. as a Senior Project Engineer, where they worked for five years. In 2014, they briefly worked as a Senior Project Engineer at both Self Employed and Aesco before joining Professional Service Industries, Inc. (PSI) in 2016. At PSI, they currently hold the position of Senior Project Engineer. Overall, Doug has shown consistent growth and extensive experience in the engineering field.

Doug Abernathy attended Virginia Tech from 1981 to 1987, where they pursued a degree in Geotechnical Engineering. Doug successfully completed their studies and obtained a Master's degree in Engineering (M.Engr.).
