Taha Khalaff, Ph.D., P.E. has worked in various roles and companies throughout their career. Taha began as a Staff Engineer at Haengel & Associates Engineering, Inc. from May 2012 to August 2013, where they led testing of soils and materials to assess foundation adequacy and strength. Taha then worked as a Geotechnical Lab Technician at Professional Service Industries, Inc. (PSI) from August 2013 to April 2014.
Following this, they were a Project Engineer at DMC Consultants, Inc. (dba DMC Construction, Inc.) from April 2014 to November 2014, where they were responsible for daily inspection efforts on bridges and roadways. Taha then worked as an Engineering Intern at HNTB from June 2015 to November 2015, where they performed field inspections and interpreted plans and specifications for construction projects.
From February 2016 to May 2019, Taha served as a Staff Geotechnical Engineer at Bowser-Morner, Inc., where they assisted in developing subsurface investigation programs, prepared subsurface investigation specifications, and performed onsite support for subsurface investigations. Additionally, they prepared geotechnical investigation and design reports.
Currently, Taha works as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Professional Service Industries, Inc. (PSI) since June 2019.
Taha Khalaff, Ph.D., P.E. began their education journey at Al-Mergheb University, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering between the years 1999 and 2004. Taha then pursued further studies at Lawrence Technological University and successfully completed a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from 2008 to 2010. Continuing their academic pursuits, Taha Khalaff enrolled at Lawrence Technological University once again in 2011, this time as a Ph.D. candidate specializing in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering. As of 2020, they were still in the process of completing their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree.
