SIEM Engineer - Threat Detection at PROFICIO

Christopher Pearson has a diverse work experience. Christopher is currently working at Proficio as a Threat Detection Engineer since March 2021. Prior to this role, they held the position of SIEM Content Engineer and Knowledge Master at the same company from March 2021 to January 2023.

Before joining Proficio, Christopher worked as a Freshman Transition, 9th Grade, and 11th Grade English Teacher at Ritenour High School from August 2011 to June 2021. In this role, they focused on cooperative learning, critical thinking, and innovative teaching methods.

Christopher began their career in 2009 as a Reading Interventionist at Maplewood-Richmond Hgts School District, where they worked until June 2011.

Christopher Pearson completed their undergraduate education from 1999 to 2003 at Missouri Baptist University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology and Writing. In 2020, they obtained a Cyber Security Certificate from Washington University. Christopher also completed the Splunk Fundamentals Part 1 course from Splunk in the same year. Additionally, they acquired several certifications, including the Architecting Splunk Enterprise Deployments certification from Splunk in May 2023, the Cybersecurity Boot Camp certification from WashU Technology & Leadership Center in December 2020, the Splunk Core Certified Advanced Power User certification from Splunk in February 2022, and the Splunk Core Certified Power User certification from Splunk in June 2021.
