About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced BI Team Lead to join our team. They will be responsible for the end-to-end creation and delivery of custom dashboards for Profitero’s clients. The ideal candidate will have strong technical & analytical skills, as well as experience of managing a team of at least 2 BI Analysts.

What you'll do:

  • Lead, manage and be accountable for the creation & delivery of custom dashboards for Profitero clients
  • Understand client problems, convert them into requirements & execute on delivery of those requirements
  • Effectively manage bugs / issues in dashboards and be the go-to person to orchestrate & deliver on technical delivery.
  • Collaborate with technical architects to produce the vision and execution of a roadmap that leads to best-in-class process, technology and quality standards to solution development
  • Manage a growing team working in an agile environment
  • Partner with commercial teams to provide technical guidance on the scope of new dashboards

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science

  • 4+ years of related work experience

  • 2-3 years of management experience with at least 2 direct reports

  • Proficiency in BI tools (data visualisation - Tableau, Looker or equivalent).

  • Expertise in data visualisation techniques and best practices.

  • Experience in designing designing efficient and scalable data models

  • Strong knowledge of SQL for data extraction and transformation, and query optimisation

  • Experience with cloud-based data warehousing platforms (Snowflake, GBQ)

  • Knowledge of Python/R for custom scripting, and understanding of ETL processes

  • Knowledge of basic statistical concepts and analytical techniques for interpreting data and deriving meaningful insights from analytical dashboards.

  • Exhibits strong communication skills, effectively articulating complex concepts and actively understanding team perspectives.

  • Advocates for the team, acting as a liaison with upper management and supporting professional development.

  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills, managing efficient workflows and maintaining comprehensive documentation.

  • Manages stakeholder expectations, prioritizes tasks strategically, and balances varying needs for optimal outcomes.

  • Promotes autonomy within the team by delegating tasks effectively and guiding team members to work independently.

  • Fosters skill development by identifying training opportunities and encouraging knowledge sharing within the team.

What you’re good at:

  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts with external and internal stakeholders
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out solutions that deliver against the company’s vision and strategy
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Strong knowledge of modern data stack landscape
  • Understanding of ETL processes, data pipelines, BI platforms & embedded analytics
  • Understanding of Jira, Confluence, Agile framework
  • Strong emotional awareness and desire to coach junior team members towards realizing their full potential
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
