Ori Avinoam is a Founder and Scientific Advisor for ProFuse Technology since 2021. From 2017 to 2021, they were a Group Leader/Principal Investigator at Weizmann Institute of Science. From 2012 to 2017, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at EMBL, where they also served as an Instructor for the EMBL advanced course - High-Accuracy Correlated Light and Electron Microscopy: Applications at Room Temperature and in cryo in 2015, and an EMBO practical course - Current Methods in Cell Biology in 2013. Ori was also a Rotation-student mentor in 2014. From 2006 to 2012, they were a Ph.D. student at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, where they were an Instructor for Bio-Structure microscopy lab - An advanced course for graduate students from 2010 to 2012, and a Teaching Assistant for Evolution - A core level course for undergraduate students from 2011 to 2012, and Molecular Genetics - A core level course for undergraduate students from 2008 to 2009. From 2008 to 2012, they were the Chair of the Technion Graduate Student Organization. From 2002 to 2006, they were a Customer Services Representative at Pelephone.
Ori Avinoam obtained a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology between 2003 and 2006. Ori then went on to obtain a Ph.D in Life Sciences - Cell and Developmental Biology from the same institution between 2007 and 2012.
