Winston Harris

Winston Harris has a diverse work experience spanning from 1991 to 2018. Winston started their career as a Research Technician at the National Institutes of Health, where they designed and fabricated biomedical research apparatus. Winston also worked as an Aircraft and Automotive Research Engineer at Goodman Engine Company, where they designed and fabricated custom parts for internal combustion engines.

In 1998, Harris joined the University of Maryland as an Engineering Technician and later became a Graduate Research Assistant, conducting research funded by NASA. Winston worked on nucleate pool boiling and designed and fabricated experimental equipment.

From 2000 to 2006, Harris worked as a Lead Mechanical Engineer at General Dynamics AIS/Digital System Resources, designing ruggedized environmental enclosures for submarines and surface ships. Winston also utilized CAD and FEA software for analysis and design.

Winston Harris completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, Music, and Math from James Madison University from 1991 to 1997. Winston then pursued a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, which they completed from 1998 to 2002. Prior to their university education, Winston also obtained a Diploma from St Stephen's HS, although the specific years are not provided.
