Sergey Nikolin

Sergey Nikolin is Project HOPE’s Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. He has more than 30 years’ experience in financial services, with a focus on international development and assistance. He specializes in financial and operational performance improvement and organizational capacity building. Sergey has worked for non-profit as well as USG agency sectors, including 20 years at USAID.

In all his assignments, he has successfully led financial organizations through change, focusing on resolving financial deficit, strengthening organizational cash position, generating financial reserves, and expanding the revenue base. For his contribution to U.S. government operations and in recognition of his leadership, Mr. Nikolin was awarded with the U.S. Department of State Meritorious Honor Medal.

He holds an MBA in Finance from California State University, East Bay, and an MS in Accounting from Moscow State Academy of Press.
