Dot McKelvy

VP, Global Talent at Project Management Institute

Dot McKelvy, SPHR®, SHRM-SCP, is PMI’s Vice President, Global Talent. In this role, she is responsible for leading Institute human resources strategy and programs collaboratively across locations worldwide. Dot has over 25 years of senior leadership experience in human resources spanning organization planning, total compensation, talent management and leadership continuity. PMI’s Human Resources group drives initiatives to build engagement and ensure progressive talent management – helping to deliver against PMI’s strategic plan and providing value to the association’s various stakeholders.

Prior to joining PMI, Dot held a number of human resources leadership roles including Director of Human Resources for Carpenter Technology Corp., with executive human resources responsibility for their largest division with multiple sites worldwide, as well as support for acquisitions. Dot is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) and a SHRM Senior Certified Profession (SHRM-SCP), as well as an active member in that organization. She also engages with the Philadelphia Society for People & Strategy, including serving as a mentor to aspiring human resources professionals and leaders.

She holds a master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the West Chester University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree concentrating in Psychology from Kutztown University.
