Muhammad Odeh has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries and positions. Muhammad is currently serving as the VP of Membership and Outreach for the Erie, Pennsylvania Chapter of the Project Management Institute. Prior to this, they worked as an Assistant Professor at Penn State University. Muhammad also has experience as an author and educator, focusing on project management, and has written three books on the subject. Earlier in their career, they held roles at Dell Technologies, EMC, HP, and a management consulting firm, where they gained expertise in areas such as data center solutions, program delivery, and IT consulting.
Muhammad Odeh completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Missouri State University from 1985 to 1988. Muhammad then pursued an Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Metropolitan Community College-Penn Valley from 1983 to 1985. In 1990, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer and Decision Science from Pratt Institute.
Muhammad'spostgraduate studies include a Leadership Certificate from Hult Ashridge in 2012-2013 and a Stanford University Advanced Project Management (SAPM) program from 2013 to 2014. Muhammad further enhanced their educational background by completing a Doctor of Engineering degree in Engineering Management from The George Washington University - School of Engineering & Applied Science from 2015 to 2018.
In addition to their formal education, Muhammad Odeh has obtained several certifications throughout their career. These include the following: Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control™ (CRISC) from ISACA in 2010, IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) from ITIL Certified in 2007, Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) from DRI International (Disaster Recovery Institute) in 2006, Project Management Professional (PMP)® from the Project Management Institute in 2004, Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) from ISACA in 2003, and a Master Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University in 2003.
Most recently, in December 2022, Muhammad Odeh completed the course "How to Speak So People Want to Listen" offered by LinkedIn.
