Charlie Boardman has a diverse range of work experience. Charlie currently works as the Director of Operations at Project Mexico & St. Innocent Orphanage. Previously, they worked as an Aerospace Engineer at Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) where they focused on Environmental Control Systems. Prior to that, they served as a Brake Controls Design & Release Engineer at Ford Motor Company. Charlie also has experience as a Mechanical Engineer at Pregl Services, Inc. In addition, they have worked as a Summer Homebuilding Intern at Project Mexico & St. Innocent Orphanage, where they led construction projects for families in need. Charlie also participated in a Senior Design Project at Sun Buckets, Inc., working on solar energy storage solutions. Charlie has volunteered as a Peer Tutor at the Center for Academic Resources in Engineering (CARE) and held board positions at the University of Illinois Orthodox Christian Fellowship.
Charlie Boardman obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, graduating in 2016. Additional certifications include Statistics Foundations: 1 and Statistics Foundations: 2 from LinkedIn, both obtained in 2020, and an Engineer in Training License from the Illinois Board of Professional Regulation, obtained in 2016.
