Julie Richards

Julie Richards is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in assay development and diagnostics. Currently serving as the Head of Assay Development at Prolight Diagnostics since April 2022, Julie previously held the position of Director at Psyros Diagnostics from May 2018 to April 2022, contributing to the growth of a start-up focused on point-of-care clinical diagnostics. Prior to that, Julie was a Senior Fellow at Novartis for five years, where responsibilities included managing teams, providing technical support across various projects, and collaborating with external stakeholders. Earlier roles include Team Leader and Senior Scientist at Vivacta, and a Postdoctoral researcher at King's College London. Julie obtained a PhD in Biochemistry from Imperial College London and holds an MSc in Biotechnology from the University of Kent, along with a BS in Applied Zoology from the University of Leeds.
