Joost Mulders

Joost Mulders has over 19 years of experience in software engineering and development. In 2001, they began as an IT Helpdesk Technician at Eindhoven University of Technology, where they provided support by email, phone, and in person to solve all kinds of IT related problems. In 2007, they became a Researcher at the same university, where they worked on the optimization of an image registration tool. In 2008, they joined Brain Innovation B.V. as a Software Engineer, where they developed object-oriented multi-platform data/signal/image processing and analysis tools with GUI (QT) in C++. Joost was later promoted to Senior Software Engineer. In 2015, they began working as a Software Engineer Image Segmentation - Contractor at the University of Minnesota Medical Center. In 2016, they joined Promenade Software as a Software Engineer - Contractor, where they designed and developed a medical device hardware simulator in Python. Joost was later promoted to Principal Engineer Software Development at Avanos Medical, where they were involved in a deep learning imaging project and responsible for designing and implementing the complete data handling pipeline. In 2020, they returned to Promenade Software as Software Engineering Manager and Principal Software Engineer, where they are driving various medical device software projects and delivering customer driven solutions.

Joost Mulders obtained a Master's Degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology between 2000 and 2007. Prior to that, they attended Lorentz Casimir Lyceum from 1994 to 2000. In February 2023, they obtained a certification in Managing Others Effectively from LinkedIn.
