Ashten Vogelsberg has a diverse work experience in the field of materials science and chemistry. Ashten began their career as an Intern at the University of Georgia in 2007. After that, they worked as a Co-op at Athens Research & Technology, where they gained experience in processing human blood plasma and purifying proteins.
In 2011, Ashten joined the University of Colorado as an Academic Researcher, specializing in peptide and oligonucleotide synthesis. Ashten then moved on to work as a Polymer Chemist at Colorado Photopolymer Solutions, where they formulated and characterized polymer resins for 3D printers and UV-curable coatings.
In 2014, Ashten worked as an Academic Researcher at the Georgia Institute of Technology, focusing on the synthesis and analysis of photoresists. Ashten then joined Sporian Microsystems, Inc. as a Research Chemist, leading projects funded by the Air Force and NASA.
In 2020, Ashten joined CoorsTek, Inc. as an R&D Engineer II, where they acted as a subject matter expert in engineered ceramic formulation development. Their projects included the development of conductive inks, tape cast slurries, and additive manufacturing resins.
Most recently, Ashten is working at Prometheus Materials as a Materials Scientist, starting in 2023. The details of this role and its responsibilities have not been provided.
Ashten Vogelsberg began their education at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2009 and completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc) degree in Chemistry in 2014. After this, they pursued further studies at the University of Colorado Boulder from 2015 to 2016, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Materials Science and Engineering.
