James Sison is a seasoned philanthropy professional with extensive experience in major gift fundraising and donor cultivation. Currently serving as a Philanthropy Officer at Promises2Kids since May 2023, James focuses on garnering support for foster youth programs in San Diego. Prior roles include Director of Development at the University of San Diego, where efforts were directed toward enhancing diversity and inclusion through scholarships and building initiatives. At the Illinois Institute of Technology, James held positions as Senior Major Gifts Officer and Major Gifts Officer, successfully securing multi-million dollar gifts for the university's $500M campaign and strategic initiatives. Additional experience includes leadership roles at Loyola University Health System, the University of Chicago's Pritzker School for Molecular Engineering, and non-profit organizations. James holds a B.A. in Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from DePaul University.
