Matthias Schröder

Matthias Schröder has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries.

Matthias is currently serving as a Team Leader of Media Production at PromoCell - Human Centered Science since April 2022.

Before that, in 2019, they worked as an Independent Advisor at Guidepoint.

From 2018 to 2022, they held two positions at Apogenix AG. First, they served as the Head of Assay Development and Bioanalytics from February 2020 to March 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Laboratory Manager Assay Development - Senior Scientist from March 2018 to February 2020.

Their previous experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at BioMed X Innovation Center from April 2014 to February 2018. In this position, they focused on basic and applied research to understand the immunosuppressive microenvironment of tumors and develop new targets and inhibitors to enhance cancer treatment.

Before that, from September 2011 to April 2014, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Universitätsklinikum Bonn, where they were part of the BMBF-funded Project PeTrA. Their work primarily involved establishing a nanoparticle-based platform for specific activation of T cell immunity in cancer therapy.

Matthias began their career as a Ph.D. student at Universitätsklinkum Frankfurt am Main from May 2008 to August 2011, researching the impact of sphingosine kinases on the activation and development of dendritic cells.

Matthias also has experience as a Diploma Student at Technische Universität Kaiserslautern from November 2007 to April 2008.

Matthias Schröder attended RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau from 2003 to 2008, where they obtained their Diplom degree in General Biology. In terms of additional certifications, Matthias obtained the FELASA B Zertifikat in September 2009. Matthias also received the ECA certified Biotech Manager certification from the ECA Academy in September 2019. Additionally, Matthias obtained the Präklinik Kompakt certification from FORUM Institut für Management GmbH in June 2021, and the ICAO/IATA Gefahrgutvorschriften für Personalkategorie 1 certification from the International Air Transport Association in March 2021.
