Gerd Van den Branden

Gerd Van den Branden has been working in the technology industry since 2003. Gerd began as an Assistant Professor and Wetenschappelijk Medewerker at Erasmushogeschool Brussel. In 2007, they joined Cypress Semiconductor as a Staff Test Engineer, where they designed and developed complete production test systems and improved and extended the overall capabilities of the in house developed test system frameworks. Gerd was promoted to Senior Test Engineer in the same company and was responsible for designing and bringing-up of product specific char and production boards for CMOS image sensors. In 2011, they moved to ON Semiconductor Belgium BVBA as System Development Manager and then to ON Semiconductor as System Development Engineering Section Manager and System Development Engineering Group Lead. In this role, they managed a team, developed image sensor testers and tester platforms, and designed reference kits, demo kits and eval kits. In 2020, they became Co-Founder of Industrialise BV and Director System development & Industrialization at PROPHESEE.

Gerd Van den Branden obtained a Master of Industrial Engineering in Electronics - Design Techniques from LUCA School of Arts between 2000 and 2003. Gerd then attended Vrije Universiteit Brussel from 2004 to 2006. In November 2014, they obtained a First Aid Helper certification from IDEWE.
