Roland Haun

Roland Haun has extensive work experience in the railway industry, with a focus on business development, sales, and project management. Roland is currently the Director Germany/Managing Director at PROSE. Prior to that, they established their own company, RH Executive Railway Consultancy, where they provided expertise and solutions in business development, internationalization, sales, marketing, change management, and general management. Roland also worked as the Sales Director at CERTIFER Deutschland, where they developed business strategies and built relationships within the DACH region for testing, inspection, and certification of railway vehicles and systems. Earlier in their career, they served as the Business Unit Director Rail & Energy at SEGULA Technologies, where they were responsible for building the rail and energy business across the DACH region. Roland also held the position of Deputy Managing Director - DACH Region at CAF, where they successfully led the company's market entry into the DACH region. Before that, they worked at Siemens as a Technical Bid Project Manager and a Commissioning and Service Manager, where they planned, executed, and managed maintenance projects for railway vehicles and infrastructure projects globally.

Roland Haun has a diverse education history spanning multiple fields. In 1987 to 1991, they attended Siemens Professional Education, where they obtained a degree in Energy Electronics Engineer/System Engineering. In 2002 to 2003, Roland attended imc-university, specializing in Business Process Engineering with IT and earning a degree in Business Engineering/Business Informatics.

Roland furthered their education in 2004 to 2005 at The Open University Business School, where they completed a Professional Diploma in Management (Dip Mgmt (Open)), focusing on Managing Performance & Change in the field of Business Administration and Management. Roland continued their studies at The Open University from 2006 to 2009, completing a Cert NatSci (Open) degree in Natural Sciences.

Additionally, Roland Haun has obtained various certifications. In 2020, they received a certification in Innovation Management & Digital Transformation from CIDT e.V. (Cluster für Innovation und digitale Transformation). In 2019, they earned a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSC) certification from 100% Effective Ltd and a Rail101x: Railway Engineering: An Integral Approach certification from Technische Universiteit Delft. In 2016, they obtained a Six Sigma Yellow Belt (IASSC) certification from TÜV Süd. Prior to that, in 2011, Roland obtained a NLP Business Practitioner certification from SUE KNIGHT CONSULTING LIMITED. Roland'sfirst certification, Project Management Professional (PMP), was obtained from Siemens in 2007.
