Katherine Alwan is a seasoned scientist with a strong background in biochemistry and molecular biology. Currently serving as Founding Scientist at Prose Foods since August 2023, Katherine previously held the position of Scientist II at FL79, Inc. and has experience as Scientist I at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. Katherine completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania following a doctorate and a master's degree from Oregon Health & Science University, where research focused on metalloenzyme structure and function. Earlier experience includes roles in research and education at Skidmore College, the National Institutes of Health, and OHSU, contributing to various projects in microbiology and neuroendocrinology.
