Morgan Durand

VP, Data Science and AI at Prose

Morgan Durand has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. They began their career as an Internship Trainee at Givaudan in 2004, where they gained valuable industry experience. In 2006, Morgan took on the role of a PHD Student at the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology, focusing on the physicochemical properties of short isosorbide ethers. This role involved synthesizing and characterizing these ethers, as well as developing new theoretical approaches for solvent design and screening. Following the completion of their PHD, Morgan continued their research as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology from 2010 to 2012. In 2012, Morgan joined L'Oréal as a Research and Development Specialist, utilizing their expertise in a senior researcher role from 2015 to 2019. Currently, Morgan is working at Prose, a Public Benefit Corporation, where they initially served as the Director of Data Science and AI from 2019 to 2022. Morgan has since been promoted to the role of Vice President of Data Science and AI in 2022.

Morgan Durand obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Ecole Centrale de Marseille in 2002-2005. Later, in 2005-2006, Morgan completed a Master's degree in Formulation from Master Chimie et Ingénierie de la Formulation in Lille. Morgan also holds additional certifications from Coursera in Convolutional Neural Networks (obtained in February 2019) and Neural Networks and Deep Learning (obtained in November 2018). There are also two unspecified certifications from Coursera.
