Ernest Smith

Ernest Smith is an accomplished cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in risk management and information assurance. Currently serving as Owner of The RMF Security Group since December 2014, Ernest focuses on NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) development, security control assessments, and training for the information assurance community. As a Healthcare IT National Security Analyst for Prospect Medical Holdings, Inc., Ernest oversees cybersecurity issues across more than 25 healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with the HIPAA Security Rule. Additionally, Ernest works as an Independent RMF Consultant and has held senior positions with 25th Air Force, providing expertise in ICD 503 and NIST RMF. With a Master's in Cybersecurity and a Bachelor's in Information Technology, Ernest merges education with practical application to enhance cybersecurity protocols and frameworks.
