Dr. Jeffrey Edwards has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over 30 years. Dr. Jeffrey currently serves as the Managing Director, Head of First LOD Risk and Control, QA & QC at Protego Trust, where they lead and implements effective governance and management of risks in the 1st Line of Defense. Dr. Jeffrey ensures the bank operates within its risk appetite and provides specialist risk and control knowledge. Dr. Edwards collaborates with Front-Line Business Unit owners and provides guidance to enable clear articulation and management of the risk profile of a process.

Prior to their current role, Dr. Edwards worked as the Managing Director, Head of Business Controls, QA & QC at Protego Trust. Their responsibilities included overseeing business control testing and assessing compliance with traditional banking regulations.

Dr. Edwards has also worked at various other organizations, including The City University of New York, where they served as an Adjunct Professor in Data Science. Dr. Jeffrey taught Business Analytics and Data Mining, focusing on predictive modeling and regression analysis using the R statistical programming language.

At Wells Fargo, Dr. Edwards held multiple roles, including Enterprise Testing Senior Manager and Operational Risk Manager - BPRM Testing & Validation Manager. Dr. Jeffrey managed risk professionals responsible for independent quality assurance, compliance assessments, and the implementation of comprehensive testing programs.

Prior to their time at Wells Fargo, Dr. Edwards worked at TIAA-CREF as an Entitlement Management Compliance Manager, ensuring regulatory compliance and improving efficiency through the creation of a Role Based Access Control solution.

At Bank of America, Dr. Edwards served as a Vice President in various roles. Dr. Jeffrey managed consumer and operational risk, liaised with regulators, and oversaw compliance evaluations and testing procedures. Dr. Jeffrey also conducted technology audits, led investigations on data breaches, and provided network infrastructure support.

Earlier in their career, Dr. Edwards worked at Wachovia, where they served as a Senior Technology Auditor, and at First Union National Bank, where they were a Group Manager and Automation Support Consultant.

Dr. Edwards began their career as a Computer Consultant at the University of South Carolina and worked as a Computer Analyst at JPMorgan Chase.

Dr. Jeffrey Edwards holds a variety of academic qualifications and certifications. Dr. Jeffrey earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Statistics from the University of South Carolina from 1988 to 1993. In 2002 to 2003, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Queens University of Charlotte. Later, from 2005 to 2010, they obtained a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree from the University of Phoenix, specializing in Business Administration. More recently, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Financial Mathematics from the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering from 2020 to 2022.

In addition to their academic degrees, Dr. Edwards has attained various professional certifications. Dr. Jeffrey received the "Applying the QM Rubric" certification from QM Quality Matters in October 2019. Dr. Jeffrey also earned the "Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF)" from Fitch Learning in June 2010. Additionally, they obtained a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Bank of America in May 2006. Recently, in February 2022, they acquired two certifications relating to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - the "Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2021 Certified Architect Associate" and the "Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2021 Certified Architect Professional" from Oracle.
