Alexander Kitaygorodsky is a Machine Learning Scientist at ProteinQure since September 2021, specializing in the application of machine learning to bioinformatics. Prior to this role, Alexander pursued a PhD in Biomedical Informatics at Columbia University, where valuable research experience was gained in Dr. Yufeng Shen's lab from September 2015 to June 2021. Earlier academic contributions included work as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Toronto in Dr. Philip M. Kim’s lab on drug combination prediction and in Dr. Elisabeth Tillier’s lab on protein domain interactions and structural analysis. Academic qualifications encompass a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Genetics and Computer Science from the University of Toronto and multiple advanced degrees (MA, MPhil, PhD) in Biomedical Informatics from Columbia University.
