Carmine Battista

Carmine Battista is an experienced executive in the energy sector, currently serving as Chief Commercial Officer at ProtonH2 since September 2023, where the focus is on low carbon intensity hydrogen production. Prior roles include Managing Director at kWantix, LLC, overseeing the Kwantix Energy & Carbon Fund, and Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer at GenH2. Carmine has also contributed as General Partner at Ultramarine Ventures, providing support for clean energy technology and carbon capture initiatives. A former Head of Trading at UNIPEC America, Inc., Carmine established a successful environmental products trading operation and executed significant oil arbitrage between North America and China. Carmine's trading expertise was further honed at Shell in derivatives and oil products trading. Educationally, Carmine holds a Master's degree from the University of Oxford, where participation in boxing and entrepreneurship societies further diversified skills.
