Danny Filer

Danny Filer is an accomplished Senior Scientist with extensive experience in the field of diagnostics and scientific research, currently serving at ProtonDx since November 2024. Prior to this role, Danny held positions as a Senior Scientist at Meridian Bioscience Inc. and Cignpost Diagnostics Ltd., where significant contributions were made to COVID-19 testing and rapid screening initiatives. Danny's earlier work includes serving as a Senior Scientific Officer at Queen Mary University of London, where assistance was provided in establishing a SARS-CoV-2 testing laboratory for the Department for Health and Social Care. Additionally, Danny has a background in campaign organization and communication, having worked as a National Field Organiser for Angela Rayner’s campaign. Danny's education includes a Bachelor of Science in Genetics from Cardiff University and ongoing PhD studies at UCL in the Institute for Health Ageing.
