Michael Tanios is an undergraduate student at the University of California, Berkeley, pursuing a degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology. Currently, Michael serves as an MCB Peer Advisor and Chemistry Undergraduate Teacher Scholar, aiding in the instruction of Organic Chemistry. Michael has a robust research background, including a role as a Rose Hills Summer Research Fellow investigating the mesolimbic dopamine system's role in obesity and conducting research at the Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute and UCSF focusing on tuberculosis biomarkers. In addition to academic pursuits, Michael is actively involved in healthcare education as a Lead Facilitator for The Future of Healthcare DeCal. Leadership experience includes serving as President of Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity and working as an Emergency Medical Technician with ProTransport-1 and the Berkeley Medical Reserve Corps. Training includes completion of an Emergency Medical Technician course at UCLA.
