Simon Carter

Simon Carter has extensive work experience in various technical roles. Simon started their career as a Junior Software Developer at White Clarke Group, where they were responsible for business workflow configuration development and implementing external interfaces using web services. Simon then moved on to become a Software Developer and later a Senior Software Developer at the same company.

In 2012, Simon became a Technical Team Lead at White Clarke Group, leading a global agile development team and contributing to the overall system architecture. Simon was also a member of the Development Committee, where they defined development processes and standards.

After working as a Technical Team Lead, Simon joined White Clarke Group as a Technical Architect. In this role, they designed overall solution architecture, led the development team, and implemented solution design options to satisfy client requirements. Simon also led the architectural design for a multi-channel mobile fleet automotive solution.

In 2016, Simon joined Volkswagen Group UK Ltd as a Solutions Architect. Simon was responsible for the architectural design of multiple solutions and worked on transitioning the company from legacy monolithic applications to a Service Oriented Architecture. Simon designed a serverless, high available, resilient, low-latency, scalable, real-time solution on Amazon Web Service using Lambda.

Simon then became a Technical Lead at Volkswagen Group UK Ltd, responsible for setting up and leading a new agile development team. Simon defined and implemented the vision for DevSecOps adoption and path to cloud computing through continuous delivery pipelines.

Recently, Simon joined Provar as a Head of Development, where they continued to lead and manage development teams. Simon is currently working as a Senior Technical Product Manager at Provar.

Simon Carter obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Multimedia from the University of Gloucestershire between 2002 and 2006.
