Leighette S.

Leighette S. has a long history of experience in Human Resources. Leighette began their career in 2002 as a Human Resources employee at Shell Canada. In 2007, they moved to Encana/Cenovus as an HR Advisor. From 2009 to 2011, Leighette was a Senior HR Business Partner at Newalta. In 2011, they became a Manager of Human Resources at Tervita and was promoted to Senior HR Business Partner in 2018. In 2020, Leighette joined Symend as a Senior Partner of People & Culture. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Director of People & Culture at Providence Therapeutics. Throughout their career, Leighette has been responsible for all people operations processes, developing and executing learning and development initiatives, recruiting and talent acquisition, and providing daily coaching and guidance to leaders on complex people issues. Additionally, they have experience in building out a world class total rewards program, workforce planning, and employee relations.

Leighette S. has obtained a Bachelor of Health Administration from Athabasca University, a Business Administration degree from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) with a focus on HR & General Management, and a Registered Nutritionist certification from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition with a focus on Holistic Nutrition & Wellness.
