Richard Illingworth

Richard Illingworth has extensive experience in finance and transformation roles. Richard currently serves as the Director of Finance Shared Services at Provident Financial Group, where they are responsible for designing and implementing a shared services operating model. Prior to this, they worked at Aegon as an Interim Finance Transformation SME, leading the strategic plan for migrating the IT system onto the cloud. Richard also held the position of Interim Finance Business Partner at Royal London, where they focused on upgrading the service proposition for the Change portfolio. Earlier in their career, Richard held various roles at Royal Bank of Scotland, including Head of Finance Business Intelligence and Global Head of Cost Accounting & Reporting. Richard also worked as the Interim Head of Risk and Control at the Future Williams & Glyn Team. Richard has a strong background in financial management, operational efficiencies, and strategic planning.

Richard Illingworth attended Outwood Grange in Wakefield from 1985 to 1990. Richard then went on to study at The University of Leeds from 1990 to 1993, where they pursued a combined degree in Geography and Geology, focusing on earth sciences. In terms of additional certifications, Richard obtained the Prince2 foundation and practitioner certification from PRINCE2.com in January 2017. Richard also holds the ACIB (Associate Chartered Institute of Bankers) and ACMA (CIMA - Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) certifications, although the specific dates of when they obtained these certifications are not provided.
