Douglas Smith, MSc, MD, CCFP has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Douglas is currently serving as the interim Vice President of Medicine at Interior Health Authority, where they have also worked as the Regional Medical Director for Long Term Care and as an Urgent Care Family Medicine Provider. Douglas has also served as the Executive Medical Director of Interior Health. In addition, they have worked as the Provincial Executive Medical Lead at the Provincial Health Services Authority and as a Medical Reviewer and Practice Investigations Reviewer at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. Previously, they were a Delegate to the Ontario Medical Association at the Academy of Medicine of Ottawa and a Senior Physician Peer Leader at OntarioMD.
