Vefa Tuimavave

Vefa Tuimavave is an experienced professional in the fields of education and behavioral health. Currently serving as a Therapist Assistant and Discharge Planner at Provo Canyon Behavioral Hospital since October 2020, Vefa also holds the position of Discharge Coordinator/Therapist Assistant within the same organization. Additionally, Vefa has been the Program Director for the Family and Consumer Science program at the Department of Education-Vocational Education since June 2015, overseeing all aspects of program administration. Previous roles include teaching at ASDOE, where mentoring and extracurricular involvement were emphasized, and working as a Health Educator at Tafuna Health Center, focused on community wellness. Early experience as a Paraprofessional at Nursefinders included supporting children with disabilities. Vefa holds a Master's degree in Education from Argosy University Hawaii and a Bachelor of Science in Family Resources from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
