Daniel Softley

Daniel Softley, MPA, PHR, has extensive experience in human resources, currently serving as the Human Resources Director at Provo City since October 2000, overseeing a variety of functions including classification, compensation, benefits administration, and employee relations. Prior roles at Provo City include Assistant Manager of Human Resources and Senior Human Resources Analyst, where responsibilities involved managing a compensation system for a workforce of 1,200 employees and conducting annual market studies to maintain competitive turnover rates. Daniel also co-owns Playing with Scissors, an online scrapbooking company, where operations and fulfillment processes have been streamlined to achieve significant order volume. Earlier experience includes working as a Personnel Analyst for Utah County, focusing on wage competitiveness and performance appraisal system training. Daniel holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in History, both from Brigham Young University.
