Michael Cockram has extensive experience in the spirits industry, with their most recent role as the Global Marketing Director at Proximo Spirits. Michael was responsible for driving the development of the entire Proximo portfolio, including well-known brands such as Jose Cuervo, Bushmills, 1800 Tequila, Proper 12, and Kraken, across various regions. Michael also had global responsibility for the 1800 and Proper 12 brands, as well as the Proximo Global Travel Retail business.

Before their time at Proximo Spirits, Michael held several positions at Beam Suntory. Michael started as the Director of Scotch Whisky and Canadian Club, then became the Senior Director of Classics, and later served as the Senior Global Marketing Director. In these roles, they were in charge of developing and leading various brands within the company's portfolio in major markets around the world.

Prior to Beam Suntory, Michael worked at Allied Domecq Plc as the Malt Brands Director, and at William Grant & Sons as the Country Manager for the UK and Ireland market.

Michael started their career in the spirits industry at Jim Beam Brands, where they served as the International Brand Manager.

Before entering the spirits industry, Michael worked at NatWest UK, first as the Manager of Brand Strategy and then as an Assistant Manager.
