Darren Plumb

Senior Principal Scientist at Psioxus Therapeutics

Darren Plumb has extensive experience in the field of scientific research and has held various roles throughout their career.

Darren began their career at AstraZeneca in 2000 as a Research Associate, where they worked until 2002. After a short break, they returned to AstraZeneca in 2006 as a Post-Doctoral Associate at the University of Manchester.

In 2008, Darren joined the Hospital for Special Surgery as a Senior Research Fellow, a position they held until 2013. During this time, they gained valuable experience in the field.

In 2013, they moved to the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology, Oxford University, where they worked as a Senior Post-Doctoral Associate until 2014.

Darren then joined King's College London as a Scientist in 2014, where they worked until 2015.

Since 2015, Darren has been working at PsiOxus Therapeutics Ltd. Darren started as a Senior Scientist and was promoted to Principal Scientist in 2021. Most recently, they have taken on the role of Senior Principal Scientist, a position they currently hold.

Throughout their career, Darren has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in scientific research, making him a valuable asset to any organization.

Darren Plumb completed their education in a chronological order as follows. In 1998, they enrolled at The Manchester Metropolitan University and completed their Master of Science (MSc) in Biomedical Sciences, General in 1999. Following this, they pursued higher education at The University of Manchester, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology between 2002 and 2006.
