Jean-François Paquin

Jean-François Paquin has a diverse work experience in the finance and investment industry. Jean-François currently holds the position of Senior Director, Global Strategist, Total Fund Investments at PSP Investments since December 2022. Before this, they served as Vice-President, Asset Allocation at Trans-Canada Capital from May 2015 to November 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Investment Strategist at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan from August 2011 to April 2015. Jean-François also has experience as a Senior Advisor, Investment policy at La Caisse de dépôt et placement from July 2008 to July 2011. Jean-François has lectured at Université du Québec à Montréal from 2007 to 2011 and worked as an Investment Analyst at Watson Wyatt from 2005 to 2007. Jean-François started their career as an Actuarial Analyst at iA Financial Group (Industrial Alliance) from 2001 to 2005.

Jean-François Paquin holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Actuarial Science from Université Laval, which they obtained between 1998 and 2001. Jean-François later pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Applied Finance with a specialization in Financial Engineering at UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal from 2007 to 2008. In terms of certifications, Jean-François obtained the Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) credential from the Society of Actuaries in 2007. Additionally, they obtained the Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) certification from the Canadian Institute of Actuaries l Institut canadien des actuaires in 2008.
