Onofrio Varano

Onofrio Varano, MBA has an extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Onofrio started their career in 2008 as an Allocations Analyst at Tommy Hilfiger Canada where they managed and balanced inventory for 40 stores across Canada. Onofrio then joined Groupe Dynamite as a Planning Analyst, responsible for developing sales forecasts, plans, and budgets.

In 2010, Onofrio joined CIBC Asset Management as a Senior Investment Accounting Administrator, where they completed cash and asset reconciliations and resolved settlement problems. Onofrio also worked as an International Volunteer in Africa, teaching English as a second language.

Onofrio later joined State Street as a Currency Operations Senior Associate, handling daily rebalancing of client's currency hedging accounts and maintaining data related to currency hedging mandates. Onofrio also worked as a Consultant in Derivative Operations and Collateral Management at Manulife Asset Management.

Currently, Onofrio Varano is working at PSP Investments as a Senior Analyst - Investment Compliance. Their responsibilities include responding to internal requests, performing brokerage service activities, and managing the certification process for subsidiaries and external managers.

Onofrio Varano, MBA has a diverse education history, encompassing both graduate and undergraduate studies. In 2003, they began their undergraduate studies at Concordia University where they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Finance and a minor in Political Science. Onofrio completed this program in 2007. Continuing to enhance their knowledge, in 2009 and 2010, Varano enrolled in the Canadian Securities Course at the Canadian Securities Institute. To further broaden their understanding of international business, they pursued a Graduate Certificate in International Business at McGill University from 2013 to 2014. Most recently, from 2019 to 2021, Varano attended École des sciences de la gestion (ESG UQAM) to obtain their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
