Gary Wartenberg

Gary has over 35 years of experience in the field of laboratory animal science and management, spanning pharmaceutical, academia, and government sectors. Prior to accepting this position, Gary has extensive experience concentrated in laboratory animal care program management and facilities operations for a variety of research organizations including as Associate Director, Global Vivarium Operations and Management, at Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Companies, Inc.; Associate Director, Vivarium and Lab Animal Resources in the Perelman School of Medicine, UPenn; Program Manager, NIH, NIAID; Associate Director of Animal Research Operations in Harvard Medical School, Harvard University; and Manager of Operations with Merck Research Laboratories. Gary holds a BS in Animal Husbandry and a certificate in Laboratory Animal Science and Management from Delaware Valley University, a BS in Management Science from Kean University, and a MS in Biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Gary is a Certified Manager of Animal Resources and Certified Laboratory Animal Technologist by the American Association of Laboratory Animal Science International.
